Boomer Travel Bug – Still Alive but It’s Changed

New Baby Boomer Travel Trends in 2020 – As COVID-19 has affected every Boomer in 2020 how will our future #BoomerTravel Passions be impacted?

Boomers Desire to Roam

We know that traveling as a Boomer is already a bit different than traveling when we were in our 20’s or 30’s. But COVID travel restrictions have changed even those differences. Travel to not only Canada and many European countries is not an option these days. And so #BoomersFamily travel and get-togethers in many parts of the USA have exploded this year.

Shorter trips by driving, there is still a lot to see in the USA. From April to June 2020, Skift Research found a surprising top choice for a “first trip.” What was selected by about 40 percent of respondents, and has been consistent since April: driving and staying within 100 miles of home.

Traveling, learning, revisiting past favorite destinations; we can travel with our #BoomersFamlies, #BoomersGrandkids, and still have a great time!  Looking for silver linings, this could become a wonderful change for our travel plans in years ahead.

Road Scholars began educational & travel services in 1975. It began as a US service but now travels far abroad to some of the world’s best main roads and back roads.
